White House Panics, Sends Letter to Media Demanding ‘Scrutiny’ of Impeachment Inquiry

The White House discarded all pretenses and is now in a state of full-blown desperation. The administration is no longer concealing the “memo” orders they dispatch to the press, requesting their action.

This was reported by the New York Post as a “draft letter.”

The White House recently sent this letter to media organizations, stating, “It’s time for the media to intensify its scrutiny of House Republicans for initiating an impeachment inquiry based on falsehoods.”

This plea was directed at some of the nation’s most influential news organizations, including CNN, The New York Times, and Fox News.

Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel’s Office, in a draft letter to news executives obtained by CNN, stated the inquiry lacks supporting evidence, which “should set off alarm bells for news organizations.”

Sams boldly urged the media to hold those in power accountable and criticized the modern media environment for spreading disinformation and lies.

However, these claims have been met with skepticism. Critics argue the GOP found phone calls, emails, texts, and witnesses linking Biden to the business.

They also point out that Biden’s credibility is questionable, given his past false claims, such as his assertion that he was at Ground Zero the day after the 9/11 attack.

The planned letter was immediately criticized as an attempt to direct the media to defend Joe Biden, rather than seeking the truth in the interest of the American people.

Journalist Matthew Keys was among those who condemned this move, stating, “The White House should not be encouraging, influencing or interfering in the editorial strategies of America’s newsrooms, including CNN and the New York Times.”

Keys further argued the government should never try to influence coverage, calling it inappropriate. He suggested the White House and Democrats treat the media like obedient operatives, expecting them to comply with their “talking points.”

The fact the Biden administration is resorting to such measures indicates their concern about the inquiry. They seem to be aware that it’s hitting the mark and may jeopardize their position in the upcoming election when the full extent of the Biden scandal becomes clear to the American public.

This could explain why they’re already demanding compliance from the media.

Ultimately, the White House’s desperate plea to the media for increased scrutiny of the impeachment inquiry reveals a sense of panic within the administration.
