Vote in Arizona Gubernatorial Election Likely Exposed in Poll

The much-contested 2022 gubernatorial election in Arizona might have been stolen by the Democrats after all.

A new public opinion survey of the “late exit poll” type has shown more voters said they voted for Republican candidate Kari Lake than for Democrat Katie Hobbs.

Republicans Should Have Won the Arizona Races

According to the official results, the 2022 gubernatorial race in Arizona was won by Hobbs. She was the acting secretary of state and thus certified her own election win – by 0.6 percentage points, or a lead of 17,000 votes.

Republican Kari Lake’s attempts to dispute the election results in court came to nothing.

The new public opinion poll shows, however, that 51% of likely Arizona voters said they voted for Lake and only 43% said they voted for Hobbs, The Arizona Sun-Times reported.

The results mean that the Republican candidate should have won the vote by eight percentage points. Among the poll respondents, 5% said they voted for another candidate, while 2% were unsure who they voted for.

According to the same survey, two Republican state candidates – Mark Finchem and Abe Hamadeh – should have won their races against their Democratic opponents – even though the election results show otherwise.

The poll also found that more women said they voted for Lake than for Hobbs – 49% to 43%.n The results showed further that, overall, the Republican candidate is viewed more favorably by Arizonians, compared with their officially elected Democrat governor.

Thus, 51% said they viewed Kari Lake positively – including 30% with a very favorable view of her and 21% with a somewhat favorable view.

The newly elected Hobbs was seen positively by 44%, including 25% with a very favorable view, and 19% with a somewhat favorable view of her.

The Rasmussen poll found that 49% of respondents said they voted for Republican Hamadeh for state attorney general, while 43% voted for the elected Democrat, Kris Mayes.

In the race for secretary of state, 46% of the respondents said they voted for GOP candidate Finchem, while the elected Democrat, Adrian Fontes, got 43%, as per the poll.

Most Think Voter Fraud May Have Occurred

The Rasmussen Reports survey asked Arizona’s likely voters whether they perceived the existence of election fraud in the November midterms.

More than 50% of the respondents declared they deemed it at least somewhat likely there were “irregularities” that may have suppressed Republican votes in heavily pro-GOP areas of the state.

Thus, 31% said such a development was very likely, 19% found it somewhat likely, 14% thought it wasn’t very likely, and 29% declared it wasn’t likely at all.

With respect to election fraud in Maricopa County, most respondents – 55% – said it was likely, including 35% deeming it very likely, and 20% – somewhat likely. Another 29% said fraud there wasn’t likely at all.

The same survey discovered that 49% of Arizonians believe fraud may have affected the results of the 2020 presidential vote. 42% deemed that unlikely and 9% weren’t sure.

At the same time, 50% of the respondents declared they would vote for Donald Trump for president if the election was now. 39% said they would choose Joe Biden.
