When audio leaked two months ago of actor Tom Cruise going off at staff and actors on the set of the new Mission: Impossible film, it made a lot of headlines.
His anger was intense. He promised that anyone who didn’t follow every specific guideline would be fired on the spot.
The star actor swore and slammed everyone who wasn’t following the exact COVID safety guidelines, saying they were letting everyone down and ruining the whole industry’s chance to keep staying open.
Now reports are emerging that instead of things improving they’ve actually gotten worse.
And Cruise isn’t the only reason why either.
Cruise is a Nightmare
There are other problems that are possibly interrupting the latest installment of the film, but Cruise is reportedly also an ongoing “nightmare” according to sources working on the film.
According to those who told about what’s happening, many people on the film would like to just quit, but they need the work. Definitely this is not a time to give up a job, especially on an upcoming blockbuster film, even if the main star is shouting at you like an unhinged maniac.
Despite being a complete “nightmare,” the unnamed source did say that Cruise’s work ethic is nonetheless very impressive.
“Tom is completely obsessed with finishing and nothing will stop him. He’s the most determined person. It’s impressive, but a nightmare.”
More Problems Plaguing Production
In addition to Cruise going off the rails, border restrictions due to COVID are also causing major worries. Production switched from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the UK recently, where Cruise helped to build an airtight COVID-free set, but the problem is that UAE-UK flights are being shut down due to border closures, so many of the parts of the film that require both sets are now in jeopardy and might be impossible.
As part of the UK’s red level regulations, anyone coming into the UK from the UAE would also be required to self-isolate for 10 days.
“Many of the production team, especially the more junior staff who aren’t on big salaries, are up in arms and just want to go home,” the source said, adding that “it feels like everything is against us at the moment and morale is really down.”

What’s Next?
Production on the latest Mission: Impossible started last year but the border delays, Cruise’s meltdowns and the dissatisfaction of those working on the film is definitely causing issues.
In addition to his personality, Cruise’s Scientology beliefs are very focused around the idea of mastering reality and making goals come true despite any outer obstacles. The bizarre cult also believes that most things people believe are impossible are just misinformation and illusions in their own head and emotional system fed into them by psychological encapsulations of alien spirit trickery called thetans.
This is likely part of why Cruise can’t seem to accept delays, frustrations and non-rule-following. He believes that others aren’t doing good enough and he hates it. Why can’t the commoners just make reality bend to their will and clear their thetans like he has?
Considering the major budget behind the movie it will undoubtedly find a way to get made, but it’s also no doubt that tension is high on set and that parts of the movie may be cut due to difficulty making some scenes.
Another sure bet you can make is that Cruise is currently trying to find out who the source is which spoke to the media to shout in their face and fire them in a way that makes President Trump’s “you’re fired” look like kindergarten.
