Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky has emerged as one of President Trump’s strongest defenders.
He’s also become a leading voice pointing out the corruption, violence and lies of the Democrat party.
His latest comments have made headlines as Paul has pointed out that if Trump is being impeached for his words then Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer should also be facing the prosecution for his own calls for violence.
Paul noted that the dud impeachment trial is a “partisan farce,” and even though he agrees the election shouldn’t have been overturned or messed around with in public statements he believes that the claim Trump did impeachable offenses is absurd.
But if these are the new rules, then Paul said it’s only right to apply them across the board.
“I think if we are going to criminalize speech and somehow impeach everybody who says, oh, ‘go fight to make your voices heard,’ really we ought to impeach Chuck Schumer then.”
Chuck Schumer’s Past Calls for Violence
Schumer was denounced by SCOTUS Justice John Roberts last spring when he gave a speech in front of the court threatening that Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch would “pay a price” if they voted against abortion.
“[Schumer] went to the Supreme Court, stood in front of the Supreme Court, and said specifically, hey Gorsuch, hey Kavanaugh, you’ve unleashed a whirlwind, and you’re going to pay the price. If people want to hold President Trump accountable for language, there has to be a consistent standard,” Paul pointed out, adding that “to my mind it’s a partisan farce because they’re not doing anything to Chuck Schumer, not doing anything to Rep. Omar, not doing anything to Maxine Waters.”
This is especially true considering that pro-abortion advocates are often violent and deranged and have physically attacked conservatives numerous times in the past.

Paul Slams Impeachment Show Trial
Paul has also been pointing out that there’s no chance of the Senate actually impeaching Trump as this would require two-thirds of the Senate which is never going to happen. Trump’s defense team will be playing clips of Democrats like Maxine Waters calling for violence, but at the end of the day the Senate doesn’t even have jurisdiction to impeach Trump since he’s a private citizen now and impeachment was only created in order to remove a President from office.
Then again, when did you ever know the Democrats to let the Constitution get in the way of their tomfoolery?
More Democrat Calls for Violence
From VP Kamala Harris boosting a bail fund to let violent rioters and criminals out of jail in last summer’s riots to Schumer and Waters’ comments, there’s a long list of Democrats who’ve openly and callously encouraged political violence against Republicans.
Paul himself was attacked with gunfire in the shooting that left Rep. Steve Scalise severely injured and rushed to the hospital after a deranged progressive attacked the Congressional baseball game.
In 2019, Paul was also attacked by his neighbor causing permanent lung damage and severe long-term pain. Representative Ilhan Omar laughed about it by retweeting a comedian who joked about the violent attack.
“You’ll probably see comments from Rep. Omar wishing and celebrating the violence that happened to me when I had six ribs broken and part of my lung removed,” Paul commented. ”
I think you’re going to see all of this, and people are going to have to judge for themselves, are we going to impeach and potentially criminally prosecute people for political speech when they say, get up and fight for your country, let your voices be heard?”
Trump’s impeachment trial starts Feb. 13 in the Senate.
