Rudy Giuliani’s Home and Office Raided by Federal Agents

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been one of President Trump’s strongest supporters.

Once he jumped aboard the Trump train he never got off.

That’s part of the reason that he’s long been a focus of anger and persecution from liberals and busybodies who don’t like his attitude and want to take him down.

Another reason is that Giuliani is close with Trump and there’s hope that he can be used to bring the former President – who might run again in 2024 – crashing to the ground.

Federal against stormed Giuliani’s New York home and office on Wednesday, grabbing everything they could in evidence as part of an investigation from the Department of Justice into his business dealings.

Why Was Giuliani Raided?

The 76-year-old former mayor has been under the federal spotlight for a few years now because of his dealings in Ukraine. This raid shows that the DOJ is trying to stick charges to him, and anyone who thinks it’s a coincidence that it’s coming under the Biden Administration is very naive.

The thorough searches and seizure of electronics and records from Giuliani’s Madison Avenue apartment and office on Park Avenue are part of a coordinated hit on Trump insiders as prosecutors also work to bring together a wide-ranging case against Trump himself which his former lawyer Michael Cohen says will land 45 behind bars.

At the same time as the Giuliani raid there was a search warrant in DC on former Trump and Giuliani lawyer Victoria Toensing as well, so you can see the dragnet moving in tighter and it’s clear that prosecutors have some specific wrongdoing in mind.

The warrants for this raid came from the very apex of the DOJ and show that prosecutors are confident they can build a solid case against Giuliani. Will charges come up or not? That is yet to be seen, but there’s definitely a good chance.

What is the DOJ Investigating?

Toensing says she is not the target of this raid and it’s not 100% clear what the feds are going after here. The only thing that’s obvious is that it has something to do with Giuliani’s business in Ukraine.

As for Giuliani, his lawyers responded that feds have a “corrupt double standard” and that this is politically motivated.

The DOJ is “running rough shod over the constitutional rights of anyone involved in, or legally defending, former President Donald J. Trump. Mr. Giuliani respects the law, and he can demonstrate that his conduct as a lawyer and a citizen was absolutely legal and ethical,” Giuliani’s team emphasized.

Giuliani’s family is also outraged, with his son Andrew calling the raids “disgusting” and “absolutely absurd.”

Ever since Giuliani headed up Trump’s legal defenses he’s been in the eye of the storm. Trump himself hasn’t responded to this raid, but as we have seen, many of those around him including General Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Michael Cohen were relentlessly hounded and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Giuliani did a lot of work to find dirt on Biden and look into Hunter, so it seems likely that this is basically payback for what he did in Ukraine and his work in getting rid of anti-Trump US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

According to Giuliani’s lawyer Robert Costello, the raid is because Giuliani didn’t register as a foreign agent and also because he tried to use a media connection at Fox News to push through untrue allegations against Biden.

These days between their commission on the Jan. 6 riots, rooting out “White supremacists” from the military and witch hunt now over Giuliani, it’s hard to keep track of what the Democrats will do next.

But it’s important to do so, in order to stop their devious behavior in its tracks.

We will follow this story as it develops.
