Climate Czar John Kerry Decides to Ditch His Mask on Flight, Internet Goes Ballistic

Climate czar John Kerry let his mask slip recently on an American Airlines flight from Boston to DC.

His true inner elitist revealed itself as he sat without a mask despite federal mask regulations signed into law by President Biden requiring him to wear a mask on the airplane.

Settling in for a relaxing ride in first class, Kerry started reading and took off his mask.

As Biden’s Special Envoy for Climate, Kerry has important work to do flying around and talking about how great he is and getting more funds for the Green New Deal policies of his boss.

Caring about Americans who are losing jobs in the oil industry or basic rules that all Americans are legally required to follow, however, aren’t on Kerry’s elitist radar.

Rules for Thee, but Not for Me

Kerry’s behavior was against American Airlines policy. As AA Chief Operating Officer David Seymour explained, the federal mandate is for everyone’s protection:

“Our mask requirement has been and will continue to be a critical component of our comprehensive effort to protect the health and well-being of our customers and team members during the pandemic. This federal mandate will provide additional support to our crew members who are working diligently to enforce our policy and further reinforce the safety of air travel during COVID-19.”

Specifically, you must wear the mask for the whole trip unless you’re under two-years-old. Kerry is not under two-years-old, at least unless you are referring to his mental age.

“As before, customers are required to wear masks for the duration of their journey, including at the airport and on board the aircraft. Children under the age of two will continue to be exempt from the mask requirement.”

As for those who don’t comply?

“Individuals who refuse to wear a mask may be denied boarding, removed from the aircraft or subject to penalties under federal law, in addition to being barred from future travel with American.”

As you can imagine, there was no incident of Kerry being escorted off the plane or banned from flying with American in the future. If he’d been a conservative or a Republican you can guarantee the consequences would have been a lot different.

Kerry’s Carelessness

It’s not clear how long Kerry took his mask off for. Maybe he was just taking a little breather. Other people have been hauled off flights before takeoff for doing that, so it must be nice for him not to worry about that.

The truth is that regardless of the actual lack of effectiveness of a basic mask onboard a flight, Kerry is a representative of a government that’s been pushing masks since day one and shaming, blaming and booting off anyone who doesn’t do it.

Kerry not wearing a mask is more about the symbolism than anything else. It’s pretty unlikely he gave anyone coronavirus, and if he did the government should be doing an epic payout (a lot more than $2,000).

This multi-millionaire progressive who faked the details of his Vietnam war record to get a seat in the Senate and then married a billionaire heiress believes that he’s above the law and that his morally superior agenda exempts him from following the rules of the little people. He doesn’t care about American jobs or even America: he cares about his globalist agenda.

Kerry is the true face of progressivism: hypocritical, arrogant, detached and indifferent to the suffering of others except when using it as a prop to push forward the left-wing agenda.
