President Joe Biden shouldn’t be President. He should be a soccer player.
He may not be good at remember lines, where he is or what year it is, but he’s actually impressively skilled at moving the goalposts.
Along with Dr. Anthony “Flip Flop” Fauci, Biden just can’t keep his story straight. Every time you shake the 8 Ball you get a different answer.
The latest stimulus checks are a perfect example.
First, Biden promised they were going to be $2,000 and come out right after the Georgia runoff elections near the start of his term.
Then they were down to $1,400 because $600 had already been paid out prior to President Trump leaving office.
Now the $1,400 checks are only going to go out to a smaller amount of Americans.
No Check For You!
The Democrats are proposing to cut off about 12 million more Americans from receiving the check by lowering the maximum income. Anyone earning $80,000 or more per year will get no check.
If these rules go through the Senate it would mean that around 200 million Americans get checks, about 12 million less than would have got it under the original $1.9 trillion relief bill that passed the House last week.
It’s no secret that the Democrats want to encourage government dependence and punish those who make money. What better way to do so than to reward people for not making as much money this past year?
After all, you wouldn’t want to encourage those who’ve done their best to work and find a way to survive and still earn money during these tough times.
While some may say that it’s a good thing to put more limits on income and reduce the payout, the only way to be convincing in that argument is if the overall spending is reduced.
But it’s not.
The $1.9 trillion mega bill is full of useless left-wing pork and special interests as well as things like foreign aid. Biden has plenty to send to corrupt regimes worldwide during a national crisis, but not for people who are upper middle class and could likely use a bit of extra help during this time as well.

Progressives Defend the Move
It’s no surprise that progressives are defending the move, with head of the Institute for Economic and Tax Policy Steve Wamhoff saying that:
“Among the bottom 60 percent of Americans, those who most need help, both versions of the proposal would benefit 100 percent of adults and children.”
Under the new restrictions it is true that most Americans will still get a check, but it’s still a sneaky move to limit it in this way and punish people for earning money.
The $1.9 trillion “boondoggle” (as President Trump called it at CPAC 2021) is full of Democratic pet projects and is basically a blue state bailout. Progressives haven’t been doing so well running their states and the lockdowns have done nothing to stop COVID, so now Biden will do what the left always does: hand out money to its cronies and cover for their mistakes and inadequacies.
How about a little self-responsibility?
But we all know that’s not going to happen, instead you’re just going to get more excuses and more double talk.
For those who will be receiving the checks they should come out near the end of March after Biden signs the new bill into law in a couple of weeks. Those who have direct deposit info on file with the IRS will get their money the fastest, and those waiting for a physical check are looking at a little longer delay for snail mail to arrive.
