Congresswoman Liz Cheney is the House Republican Chair, which makes her the third most powerful GOP member in the House behind the House Leader Kevin McCarthy and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise.
But that power could soon be coming to an end as the daughter of the former VP Dick Cheney faces increasing opposition from within the party.
In fact McCarthy was recently caught trashing her on hot mic, saying she’s done nothing to rally the party’s message and help get back power.
Ever since supporting the impeachment of Trump over the Jan. 6 MAGA Capitol protests, Cheney has been more and more unpopular with voters and with pro-Trump members of the party.
Could she finally be booted out of leadership and back to the irrelevant scrap heap where she belongs?
‘I’ve Had it With Her’
According to McCarthy’s official statements, it’s not Cheney’s support for impeachment that has her in the crosshairs. It’s her divisive rhetoric in general and inability to get the party unified behind a message.
“I have heard from members, concerned about her ability to carry out the job as conference chair, to carry out the message. We all need to be working as one, if we’re able to win the majority,” McCarthy said in comments on Fox News.
“Remember, majorities are not given, they are earned, and that’s about the message about going forward.”
In other words, Cheney is a toxic individual who’s dividing the party against itself instead of finding common ground and it’s time for her to go in the near future.
However, it was what McCarthy said on hot mic to the Fox host after that’s getting even more attention. He admitted he’s angry at her and sick of her attitude and games.
“I think she’s got real problems. … I’ve had it with her. … I’ve lost confidence,” McCarthy said, adding that once a motion is brought against her which he “assumes” will happen soon, then she’s gone as GOP chair.
When the democrats praise you, it can only mean you’re not a patriotic Republican.
Liz Cheney is just the Democrats useful idiot of the week. 😂
The Corporate Media are sounding like a used car dealer trying to sell you an outdated Liz Cheney model.

Will Cheney Stop Causing Problems?
Cheney is not going to stop stirring the cauldron and being a political witch. She wants problems and she’s obsessed with her little moral crusade against Trump and MAGA, which is why she’s getting so much praise from stuffed suit Democrats on TV.
“This is about whether the Republican Party is going to perpetuate lies about the 2020 election and attempt to whitewash what happened on Jan 6. Liz will not do that. That is the issue,” said Cheney spokesman Jeremy Adler.
First of all, why can’t she speak for herself instead of hiring a spokesman? And secondly, does she seriously think the events of Jan. 6 in which a Trump supporter was brutally murdered and the media lied about the death of Officer Brian Sicknick to try to blame Trump are going to be the foundation of a future political career for her?
A conference vote to boot Cheney by force could happen already in less than a week by May 12.
“Liz is gone. Just a question of how and when,” said a senior House member.
Who could be up next for her seat?
Jackie Walorski of Indiana, Elise Stefanik of New York, Maria Elvira Salazar of Florida and Ashley Hinson of Iowa as well as Representatives Mike Johnson of Louisiana and Jim Banks of Indiana are all names that are being floated.
Each of these candidates has different strengths they bring to the table and their own vision for the future of the GOP. But they also all have one thing in common: they’d all do a hell of a lot better than the self-righteous crowing and constant bickering of Cheney, that’s for sure.
